Working with Me

My work is rooted in relationship, mindfulness and somatic awareness

Sessions are focused on whatever you need in the moment. That might be a space to slow things down and make sense of what you’re experiencing, whether that’s stress, relationship patterns, life transitions, or feeling stuck.

We might explore both what’s happening on the surface and what’s beneath it, such as emotional patterns, internal responses, and the ways you’ve learned to cope over time.

There’s no need to come in with anything prepared. We work with what’s present, at a pace that feels manageable for you.

About Me

I’m a counsellor based in the Annapolis Valley, working with adults across Canada online (Mi’kma’ki) and locally through walk-and-talk sessions.

My path into this work has also been shaped by my own lived experience. I’ve navigated periods of anxiety, self-criticism, and times of felt disconnected from myself and others. I understand how vulnerable it can feel to begin counselling, especially when what you’re carrying is shaped by fear, shame, or long-standing survival patterns.

Because of this, I place a lot of importance on creating a steady, grounded space where you don’t have to hold everything together. I show up as a real, human presence in the room, with warmth, honesty, and attentiveness. Together, we can gently explore what’s been painful, what has helped you cope, and what might be ready to shift.

Session Options + Pricing

I currently offer two ways to meet, depending on what feels most comfortable and accessible for you.

Online counselling (Nova Scotia-wide)

You can join these secure Zoom video sessions from anywhere in Nova Scotia.

This option can feel easier if you prefer privacy, flexibility or the comfort of your own space. Many people also choose online sessions when they’re juggling busy schedules or living outside the immediate area.

Walk-and-talk counselling (Bridgetown, NS area)

In-person sessions held outdoors in natural settings in the Annapolis Valley, from May through October.

For many people, movement and being outside can make it easier to talk, think, and stay present. Sessions tend to feel more relaxed and less intense than a traditional office setting, while still offering steady, focused support.

We might walk the whole time, or find a quiet place to sit along the way.

Pricing

Sessions are $90 for a 50-minute session, with a sliding scale available when needed.

My goal is to keep this work as accessible as possible for people who are paying out of pocket.

If cost is a barrier, you’re welcome to mention it when you reach out — we can figure out what feels workable together.

Frequently Asked Questions

ready to connect?

If you’re wondering whether this might be a good fit, the best place to start is a brief intro call.

I offer a free 15-minute phone or video chat so you can ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and see how it feels to talk together.

There’s no pressure to book ongoing sessions from there. It’s simply a chance to get a clearer sense of whether this feels right for you.
