Online Anxiety Counselling
Online anxiety counselling is therapy delivered through secure video sessions that helps people understand and work with anxiety, worry, and nervous system stress. It offers the same therapeutic depth as in-person therapy while allowing clients to access support from home.
What Does Anxiety Feel Like?
Anxiety can feel like a constant background hum in your life—a sense of tension, worry, or unease that never fully switches off.
You might find yourself overthinking conversations, anticipating worst-case scenarios, or feeling constantly on edge. Even when things look “fine” on the outside, your mind and body can feel stuck in a state of alert.
Anxiety can feel like:
• racing or repetitive thoughts
• overthinking conversations or decisions
• difficulty relaxing or sleeping
• tension in the body
• feeling constantly “on edge”
Online anxiety counselling offers a space to slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and begin to shift the patterns that keep anxiety in place.
I offer online counselling for adults experiencing anxiety, stress, and related concerns. Sessions are held securely via Zoom and are available to clients located in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
“Anxiety is often the by-product of parts having a lot to repress in the name of functioning.”
— Ralph de La Rosa, “Outshining Trauma”
How Can Counselling Help Anxiety?
Anxiety isn’t just in your head. It often involves the nervous system, emotional learning, and deeply ingrained patterns of responding to stress.
In our work together, we might explore:
• the underlying sources of anxiety
• how the nervous system responds to stress
• patterns of worry, avoidance, or self-criticism
• relational dynamics that reinforce anxiety
• ways to build greater steadiness and self-trust
Therapy can help you develop a different relationship with anxious thoughts and feelings, while gradually expanding your sense of safety and flexibility.
Online Anxiety Counselling
Online sessions allow you to access therapy from the comfort of your own space, without the added pressure of travel or commuting.
Many people find that working from home helps them feel more settled and able to focus on the therapeutic process.
Sessions are held through a secure Zoom and typically last 50 minutes.

frequently asked questions
Is online therapy effective for anxiety?
A growing body of research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many anxiety concerns. Working through secure video sessions allows us to explore thoughts, emotions, and nervous system responses in real time, while giving you the comfort of being in your own space.
What kinds of anxiety do you work with?
People seek anxiety counselling for many different experiences, including chronic worry, overthinking, social anxiety, perfectionism, and feeling constantly “on edge.” Some clients also notice anxiety connected to past experiences, relationship patterns, or long-standing self-criticism.
Do I need a diagnosis to start therapy?
No. Many people come to therapy because they’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in worry, or struggling with stress, even if they’ve never received a formal diagnosis. Counselling can be helpful whenever anxiety begins to affect your well-being, relationships, or daily life.
How long does anxiety therapy usually take?
The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some people come for short-term support focused on a specific issue, while others choose longer-term work to explore deeper patterns connected to anxiety, relationships, or past experiences.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is an opportunity to explore your story, what’s happening for you currently and what you’d like to change. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable, and there’s no expectation that you need to have everything figured out before starting.
How do online sessions work?
Sessions take place through a secure Zoom video and typically last about 50 minutes. All you need is a private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone.
Do I need to live in a specific province?
Because therapists are licensed at the provincial level, I’m only able to provide counselling to clients who are physically located in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Newfoundland and Labrador during sessions.
